ORGANIZATIONAL ASPECTS OF RISK-MANAGEMENT ORIENTED TECHNOLOGIES IN MATERNAL CARE ORGANIZATIONS

Abstract

Introduction. Epidemiological risk management is an important task for obstetrics medical organizations, as they work with high-risk patients, including pregnant women and newborn children, who are more susceptible to infectious diseases. Aim. Analysis of Literature Data on Risk-Oriented Technology Management in Maternity Care Organizations Search Strategy. The search for publications on the research topic was conducted in the following databases: e-Library, Cybereninka, Google Scholar, ResearchGate, PubMed, Web of Science, and Scopus. Inclusion criteria were: analytical and descriptive studies, meta-analyses and systematic reviews, clinical guidelines, monographs, as well as reports, official directives, and original full-text articles in English and Russian, available in open access and containing statistically validated findings. Exclusion criteria included: brief reports, newspaper articles, and personal communications. The search depth covered a period of 5–7 years (2018–2024). Results and Conclusions. The analysis of literature data showed that epidemic risk management, risk-oriented technologies are the main organizational measures aimed at improving the efficiency, stabilization and reduction of morbidity on HICM in obstetrics organizations is an actual problem studied at the global level. Thus, at this stage in the period of changing approaches to the provision of medical care, the health care system needs to be transformed to take into account the era of digitalization. The results of interstate cross-sectional study using IPCAF questionnaire showed that only 12.5% of 88 participating countries have implemented elements of all major components, also insufficient knowledge of health workers in the field of PIIC and ISMP. Training and experience can contribute to improvements in the health system at all levels of care. It is recommended to focus on developing strategies for educational programs, professional development, organizing scientific conferences, workshops and training sessions, and introducing comprehensive programs of continuous specialized education.
