The article touches upon the actual problem of screening for the determination of psychoactive substances in biological environments in the context of effective fight against drug addiction and drug trafficking. The analysis of departmental and other normative legal acts, in which it is possible to consolidate this norm, is carried out. Various target groups of persons who may be subject to this screening are considered; including persons undergoing pre-shift (pre-flight) mandatory and postshift (post-flight) medical examinations, as well as law enforcement agencies, the army and other state military structures. The advantages and disadvantages of rapid testing of biological media for the determination of psychoactive substances are considered.
